The City of Trail is situated on the Columbia River in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada, 9 kilometres north of the Canada-USA border. Known as the “Home of Champions,” Trail BC was established in 1895 when a small smelter operation was constructed to service the mines in Rossland. Today, the operation called ”TECK COMINCO” is the home of the world’s largest lead and zinc smelter.Trail also boasts an exciting history of pioneers and gold mining.
