Welcome to "The Houseboat Capital of Canada". Sicamous is the eastern gateway to the Shuswap Lakes on the Trans Canada Highway and at the junction of Highway 97A, the entrance to Eagle Pass. The area offers an abundance of year-round recreation and leisure activities. The town has over 250 rental houseboats.

Beardale Castle Miniatureland
This unique world of miniature towns, model railways and colourful fantasyland characters in motion is worth the visit. You will also find nature trails along the Perry River. Open daily May 10 - September 30 9am - 6 pm. Call 250-836-2268 for more information.

Dutchman Dairy
This is a free children's petting zoo with the traditional farm animals, as well as a varied collection of exotic birds and animals from llamas to peacocks. You will also have the pleasure of tasting some of the best ice cream in British Columbia, with over fifty flavours to choose from. Locatedy1 km east of Sicamous. Eagle River Golf Course
Eagle River Golf and Country Club has earned the reputation as a challenging golf course in the Okanagan. This is a fully-rated 9-hole golf course located in the heart of the Shuswap Lakes region, in Sicamous. The picturesque golf course situated along the Eagle River features immaculate greens that beckon the most demanding putter. Eagle Valley Museum & Heritage Society
Take a step back in time, and see what we lived like a hundred years ago. Take a tour of the museum and view the articles that recall the building of the railway, the gold rush, paddle wheelers, early farming and logging. Finlayson Park
This Sicamous public park offers baseball, picnic tables, a playground, ball diamonds, a Recreation Centre and the Eagle Valley Museum, all on site.

Hyde Mountain Golf Course
This course is the newest 18 hole championship calibre golf course in the Shuswap region. Open for public play and designed by Les Furber. This masterpiece features panoramic lake views, dramatic elevations changes with mountain scenery. Four sets of tees will appeal to all level of golfers. Call 250-836-4653 for more information.

Larch Hill Winery
At Larch Hills, we grow grapes that are very different from what you might find in other parts of British Columbia. You will find Siegerrebe, Ortega, Madeleine Angevine, Agria - all unusual grapes that are winter hardy and that ripen early and produce tastes that are truly delicious. Last Spike
Visit the historic site of the Last Spike, famous for the point where the "last spike" was hammered into the Transcontinental Rail Line that united Canada from coast to coast in 1885joining the western part of the CPR to the rail line. A plaque and display commemorates the event. Picnic tables and Craigellachie Station, gift shop and information centre are on site; open May – October. Located at Craigellachie, 25 km east of Sicamous

Mara Lake
The Lake features a broad, sandy beach, roped swimming area, picnic tables and a boat launch; fishing, boating and jet skiing are situated along the east side of Mara Lake. Also popular for parasailing and waterskiing. Located south of Sicamous

Mara Provincial Park
Mara Provincial Park is a small 5.9-hectare park situated on the eastern shores of Mara Lake in the Shuswap region of the Thompson Okanagan. The park is strictly a day-use area, but offers a variety of recreational activities. Mara Lake also provides important habitat for salmon. The park has a beautiful broad stretch of sandy beach and is popular for fishing, swimming, boating, canoeing and picnicking. Mara Lake is very popular for watersports and becomes very busy during the summer. Due to the heavy boat traffic on Mara Lake near the park, swimmers should remain in the designated swimming area, but no overnight camping is available. MV Phoebe Ann
Cruise the beautiful Shuswap Lake with us. We have many ways of introducing you to the beauty of Shuswap Lake, its many Beaches, and the surrounding scenic mountain area. Our 61 foot Historic paddle wheeler offers daily cruises including all amenities, licensed premises and meals on board. Cruises are offered 7 days per week from May through October. Our capacity is 40 passengers and acts as a vehicle barge, a unique way to see the Shuswap Lake area. Take a tour to the Cinnemousun Narrows, or perhaps the famous Mail Run, one of the more popular cruises. Many of the sights can only be seen from the water, like the Indian pictographs, estimated to be hundreds of years old. Red Barn
This is a designated heritage building once used as a schoolhouse, and now home to the Eagle Valley Arts Council. Stop in and check out the indoor market every Saturday. There's fresh baking, locally produced fruits and vegetables, crafts, books and many other flea market items.

Salmar Theater

Shuswap Lake Provincial Marine Park
This Park is one of the most popular boating and canoeing locations in the Southern Interior. Shuswap Marine is comprised of 26 sites located around the perimeter of Shuswap Lake. All locations are popular for fishing and water sports, and hiking and nature study are popular at some sites. Some sites are road accessible, but most are water-access only. Shuswap Lake is shaped like an addled H and is made up of four large arms. Call 250-955-0861 for more information.

Shuswap Lake Provincial Park
Shuswap Lake Provincial Park is located on the north shore of the main arm of Shuswap Lake, and includes Copper Island. The Park has a total size of 149 hectares and offers one km of sandy, pebble beach, a grassy play area, a self-guided nature trail and a boat launch. Copper Island is accessible by boat only; Shuswap Lake Provincial Park offers many recreational activities. Yard Creek Provincial Park
The icy temperature of Yard Creek precludes swimming on even the hottest days. Conversely, for much of the year, moist conditions prevail here in the eastern reaches of the Interior wet belt.
