Mission is located just 70 kilometres east of Vancouver and only a few minutes north of the Canada-U.S.A. border. It is situated on the north bank of the Fraser River, overlooking the Fraser Valley. The area is surrounded by the incredible beauty of mountainous vistas and natural forest settings. Mission is the site of Canada's first train robbery, B.C.'s first rail link to the United States, and one of the earliest Hydroelectric dams. The city centre is both vibrant & historic with several smaller niche retail outlets to explore.

Fraser River Heritage Park
Enjoy a wonderful view of the Fraser Valley and glacier laced Mount Baker from beautiful Fraser River Heritage Park. This was originally the site of St. Mary's Mission. The grounds are the perfect place for kite flying, picnicking or touring the foundations of the old Mission. An open stage houses many summer theatre and band events. Mission Farmers Market

Mission Firefighters Museum
The museum is housed within the 18,000 square foot Mission Fire Hall Headquarters building. The display features a 1954 GMC Fire Truck, which has been completely restored. Memorabilia covering the 75 year history of the Mission Firefighters, as well as an historical scrapbook dating from 1927, can also be found here. Mission Raceway Park
Mission Raceway is renowned for being one of the fastest and smoothest drag strips on the west coast of North America. The drag strip, road course, and motocross operate from March - October. Xá:ytem Longhouse Interpretive Centre
Visit this BC Heritage site and discover the rich history of the Stó:lo people. The Stó:lo lived here over 9000 years ago! Still undergoing active archaeological studies, the area known as Hatzic Rock is BC's oldest known dwelling site, and the Centre houses many informative displays of this traditional First Nations culture.
