You'll find the community of Invermere located in the beautiful Columbia Valley surrounded by the Rocky Mountains to the East and Purcell Mountains to the west. Bavin Glassworks
The Glassworks was established in 1988 and today is a hands-on, father-and-son, working operation. Featuring in-house hot glass shop, glass bead making shop and glass fusing shop where visitors can watch the artists work. The attached gallery displays their art and that of 37 other artists who work in glass, clay and metal. Dry Gulch Provincial Park
The Park is situated at the foot of Redstreak Mountain on the eastern side of the Rocky Mountain Trench. It is shadowed by the peaks of the Stanford Range. Dry Gulch is often used as an overflow campground for the popular Kootenay National park nearby. One of the greatest mountain golf experiences worldwide can be had here! Invermere Pynelogs Cultural Centre
View the exhibits, enjoy the music festivals, theatrical productions, concerts and workshops that are all housed and featured at the Invermere Pynelogs Cultural Centre. The building was once a hospital and was constructed in 1914 by a former Lieutenant Governor of BC.

James Chabot Provincial Park
Nestled between the towering peaks of the Purcell and Rocky Mountains, this day-use area provincial park is situated at the north end of 15 kilometres long Windermere Lake. A broad, sandy beach backed with open, grassy play areas offers pleasant surroundings for families who enjoy lakeshore recreation. Windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming are popular activities. Windermere Lake
Windsurfing can be an elevating experience when it takes place between the towering peaks of the Rockies and the ridges of the Purcells. Launch from the wide, sandy beach in James Chabot Provincial Park in Invermere where strong winds arise with regularity on summer afternoons. Nearby at Canal Flats Provincial Park to the south of Invermere, windsurfers can breeze along on Columbia Lake, getting a head start on the same waters that eventually flow through the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon, one of the preeminent windsurfing spots on the continent. Fishing: Windermere Lake in Invermere has good trout fishing. You'll find a boat launch at James Chabot Provincial Park.
Windermere Valley Golf Cours
This is a popular choice with local golfers as Windermere Valley Golf Course boasts one of Columbia Valley's largest mens and ladies clubs. The course has a layout known for its fairness to golfers, especially those of novice or intermediate skill. Wide, level fairways forgive all but the most errant of shots, and the course's light sprinkling of water and sand hazards allows some golfers to play a less cautious style than they might elsewhere.
